The Kestrel group has a long history of serving the Caribbean region, and through its allegiances with shipping lines around the world are now able to offer this services. This is great news for car manufacturers in Europe who now have a reliable and cost effective way to transport their new vehicles. It is also a much more cost effective way than containers for those that move used vehicles of any sizes around the world.
This is not just a RoRo service, using these lines Kestrel can now offer High and Heavy Breakbulk segments. The vessels are designed to accommodate a variety of cargo, up to a weight of 80 tonnes, though this does depend on the port of loading/unloading. They also offer up to five meters free deck height and are able to handle a variety of rolling and no-rolling cargo.
“This is great news for the Kestrel group as we continue to see our services and lines grow. We are especially excited about the opportunities that this new service creates for our clients to The French Markets, French West Indies and French New Guiana. The service stretches from Dégrad des Cannes (French Guiana) in the south to Port Everglades (FL, USA) in the north with hubs in Kingston (Jamaica) and Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe).” Andy Thorne, Chairman.
