The Trinidad and Tobago High Commission in London has embarked on a programme of activities to commemorate Trinidad and Tobago’s 50th anniversary of Independence from Great Britain in 2012. The focal point of the High Commission’s plans is the Trinidad and Tobago Village project. The Trinidad and Tobago Village will be mounted at the Tricycle Theatre in Kilburn London over a five-week period, from July 22nd to August 25th 2012. Central to these activities will be a range of business to business expositions held under the aegis of the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
As part of this activity, the Caribbean-Britain Business Council will be hosting a small round table meeting with Minister of Trade & Industry, Senator the Honourable Vasant Bharath, this will be supported by Kelvin Mahabir, President of Invest TT.
The meeting will be an opportunity for an open and informal round table discussion about the new trade and investment opportunities that are envisaged in Trinidad and Tobago; where the new opportunities lie; and what the Minister sees ‘over the horizon’ for those doing business in Trinidad and Tobago. Given the Minister’s new portfolio of Tourism and his previous role as Minister for Trade and Industry, we are sure that he will bring a useful insight to any members looking for new opportunities in the country.
The meeting will take place on Thursday 26 July at 3pm in the Tricycle Theatre Cinema, 269 Kilburn High Road, London NW6 7JR.
