Kestrel Finds a Way

With the Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort reopening for the holiday season, new villa doors just arriving from Indonesia to Miami were urgently needed.

The container load was configured for ocean shipping, but time was running out. Counting on Kestrel Global Logistics, Hospitality Purveyors Inc. knew we would pull all stops to ensure the doors could be installed before the December 14th opening.

Kestrel coordinated the reconfiguration of the ocean shipment including several 2.24x2.24 m cases weighing 1850 kgs in order to fit on a chartered MD-80. A smooth transition was made and the aircraft was fully loaded with the doors and other supplies.

Close coordination with HPI's logistics team and Kestrel's gateway team saw to it that a successful flight arrived just in time.  While a sea-air service is generally a rare event, Kestrel's  worldwide Air-Sea services have proven to be an expeditious and cost-effective service for heavy but urgently needed shipments.
