Privileged to be with The Prime Minister!
As Trinidad and Tobago marks their Diamond Jubilee Independence celebrations, The Dr. Eric Williams’ Memorial Library was officially opened on Tuesday on Knox Street in Port of Spain.
Kestrel’s Sharlene Damarsingh had the privilege to attend such a historic moment in her country.
Sharlene is pictured with the Prime Minister The Honorable Dr. Keith Rowley. Other personnel are members of Parliament – Minister of Finance and Minister of Planning & Dev.
Trinidad and Tobago gained its independence from Great Britain on August 31st, 1962. At midnight on 30th August 1962, the Union Jack (British flag) was lowered and the Trinidad and Tobago flag was raised
These historic moments in time are captured and celebrated by not only those who live and carry out their lives and business on island, but also by the many lives they touch around the world - the Diaspora living abroad, countries and businesses who export or import to or from these Caribbean islands and the Commonwealth as a whole.
Congratulations on this fabulous occasion to everyone involved in Trinidad and Tobago.
